Brain Stimulating Toys
Crazy girl says what? You like being mentally challenged right? Well so does your dog! Whether you’re using a meal time puzzle for your dog or puzzles for treats, anything is better than nothing! You’ll realize just how bored your dog is when you begin implementing these brain stimulating dog toys in to your daily routine. The puzzle pictured is Sophie’s favorite. It’s fairly simple and Sophie loves it. Shoutout to Thomas’ mom for finding this one & recommending it to us!
Healthy treats
It’s no secret, dog food, toys, treats and everything else is expensive. You know what is more expensive than treats? Vet bills for when your dog gets sick from cheap treats. Obviously, if your dog has a sensitive tummy, there are more restrictions, but I really like any of these Blue Buffalo brand treats, or these homemade doggy ones too!
Lint Roller
There may or may not be eight or nine lint rollers hanging around my house on any given day. If you have a seriously shedding dog (ME!) or a pooch that doesn’t shed too much, you know, wearing your dog hair around with you is never in style!
Non-Plastic Dog Bowls
I’m a firm believer in all glass everything. There are so many chemicals in plastic, I try to use it as little as possible. You definitely don’t want your doggies ingesting anymore gross chemicals than they have to. These are the bowls we use for Sophie, they keep her water cool and are microwave safe- SCORE!
Treat Dispensing Toy
This one really goes hand in hand with the brain stimulating dog toys I mentioned above. Sophie has had a Kong like this one since she was a puppy, I love that brand and that they have different sizes and treats to go along with it. Any of these treat dispensing dog toys are great, and are sure to keep your puppy busy all day long. The number one thing you have to watch out for is toys that are just too hard for your dog to figure out. You have to remember there always has to be some form of reward for the dog or they will get bored with the toy and ignore it.
A Place That’s All Theirs
Crates, beds, cozy corners. Whether you have 5 sq. feet or 500 for your pooch, they need a spot that is all theirs. You love your bed right? It only makes sense that they love theirs too. Create an area that is only theirs, with something that makes it cozy, and stuff that makes it their go to area. Grab some blankets, some toys, and anything else you think your dog would love and give it a go!

These are all great products for a dog!
I am a crazy dog mom and it's my goal to be able to do the under-the-stairs hideout in our next home!! 🙂
I love this post! You couldn't be more right about the lint roller lol
First of all, crazy dog moms are the best! (; My sister has a Yorkie who's hypoallergenic and doesn't shed (thankfully), so we don't have a lint roller for her, but she has a treat dispensing toy that she loves, and I'm sure she'll love a meal time puzzle too! Thanks for sharing!

My roommate just got a dog, so this is perfect timing. I knew having cats that shedding would happen, so at the Adoption Expo that we got the dog from I grabbed a few of the lint rollers they were giving away for free! Definitely the most helpful thing around the house!

A treat dispensing toy sounds like so much fun. I miss having a pet.
I always try to find brain stimulating toys for my cat too! I feel bad that he can't go outside and feel like without some great toys, he will get so bored. Xoxo Mindy
I need to find some brain stimulating toys for Francis! They would be great for her to play with throughout the day while she's in her crate.
I don't know what I would without lint rollers!

Treat dispensing toys keep them entertained for hours!
Treat dispensing toys, brain stimulating toys, healthy treats and lint rollers are all stuff I do for my cats too!
My dog is so spoiled. She loves this one ball that she carries everywhere. All of her other balls she destroys. 🙂
These are really awesome tips. I always made sure my dog didn't have plastic food and water bowls and that they had a place to call their own.
Cute!! I wish I had a puppy to love one 🙂
These are all great! I don't have a dog yet but my best friend does, and the lint roller thing is totally true! We always need to keep a few around the house, in her car, in our bags!
