Weekend Happenings

This weekend seriously felt never-ending. Not in a bad way, just in a when-is-Monday-going-to-be-here kind of a way. I’m almost certain it felt that way because I go so much done around the house, and after doing nothing the last two weeks, it wore me out.
Friday, Thomas and I went to Nebraska Furniture Mart (again) to look for a new couch. I get so lost in this place with all of the various furnishings and cute room layouts. Unfortunately, we couldn’t decided on a couch and left empty handed. Hopefully we’ll find one we like this week!
Saturday was left for (sorta) sleeping in, decorating, a little shopping and celebrating. It was Sophie’s birthday! My sweet pup turned 5, and we celebrated with some doggy treats and lots of love.
I was able to get almost all of our decor up on our walls and styled on our shelves. I don’t think I ever realized how hard it would be to reposition all of the decor from our previous home to this one. It was a bit of a struggle, but I’m almost done and can’t wait to share the final outcome. We also hit up the Galleria for a little shopping. Thomas was in the market for some new Lululemon sweats and I needed a few pieces for an upcoming blog conference. I also managed to pick up my bracelet from Tiffany’s!
Every year for Christmas Thomas gives me a new Tiffany’s charm for my bracelet. This year, he gave me an airplane to represent our love for traveling. The only bad part is, they send my bracelet away for 2 weeks to be soldered on, as well as polished. I am SO happy to have it back!
Sunday was reserved for our usual household chores, grocery store run and an attempt at a DIY. If you follow me on SnapChat, you saw the start of one of my most anticipated DIY’s, but sadly, It did NOT turn out the way I wanted. Eventually the process will get done, but yesterday was not the day. We spent the game with the cuties I nanny, and they loved having Mr. Thomas along for the night.
Overall, I think the weekend got the best of me, because I am worn out today. What did you do this weekend?

  1. Loved hearing about your productive weekend! And Sophie is just too cute 🙂 I traveled with Cameron for lacrosse this weekend to Dallas and we were non-stop busy bees with his games. It was fun though 🙂 I got to try a really great restaurant downtown (can't remember the name for the life of me), but I thought of you and your love for Dallas bites!
