To say I am happy that it’s Monday would be a major lie. Most weeks, I love when Monday rolls around, but I am totally not feeling it this week one bit. After a long, and busy spring break, and an awesome weekend, it’s safe to say I have never dreaded Monday more.
This weekend we had such an amazing time. Usually, Thomas works weekends, but due to an emergency surgery he had earlier in the week(more on that later), he was off this weekend!
If you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram, you saw some delicious pics of our Saturday morning. Thomas and I checked out a new(ish) spot in Dallas called WhiskCrepes, and it was delicious! The shop was so cute, and everyone there was fabulous. But you’ll hear ALL about that later in the week when I wrap up all the awesome eats we had during spring break.
After our delicious breakfast, we decided to head over to The Dallas Farmers Market. We knew the new, indoor area of the market had opened, but we had no idea how fabulous it was. There were tons of delicious restaurants and super cute little shops. We found some awesome prints that are making their way to my office gallery wall, as well as some awesome other goodies. I can’t wait to show off the adorable prints with my office run down in a few weeks!
I spent Saturday night working, and Thomas met my girlies and I for a delicious dinner and some sweet treats after wards.
Sunday afternoon, we met my mom and her best friend for lunch in one of our favorite spots. Kim, my moms friend, and her fabulous boyfriend, are visiting from Michigan for the week. We had to show her the fabulous area of Trinity Groves. Nonetheless, we make a stop at Kate Weiser AND at Cake Bar, both spots were delicious! Kim opted for their strawberry, my mom got the coconut, and I went with my beloved lemon. We were all pretty happy with our picks!
After lunch, we headed over to my moms house for a little get together with friends and family! I prepared this delicious little spread from Trader Joe’s, and everyone loved it! I initially made brownies, but they turned out absolutely awful, so after a little pouting and a quick Trader Joe’s run, I was back in business!
I completely forgot to get a picture with everyone who was at my moms house (sorry y’all!) but we managed to sneak in a picture with Kim & Dave and my fam courtesy of my fabulous selfie stick! We had such an amazing time visiting with them, and I am most certain we will be heading up to the other D, Detroit, to visit them this summer!
We had such an awesome weekend to cap off our spring break week. Like I said, I am totally not feeling this Monday, but what’s a girl to do?
What did you do this weekend?

Yes!! I was dreading this Monday too! Spring break was just too wonderful to end. Nothing better than family time, though.

Not going to lie – I am also not a fan of Mondays, mainly because the weekend flies by in an instant and then it's back to the office. What helps me stay a little more positive, however, is that in French, "mon" means "my." So essentially Monday is "my day." Doesn't that have a much more positive connotation with it than Monday?! 🙂
It sounds like you had an amazing weekend! I cannot wait until our local Farmer's Market is back for the season. It's within walking distance, so I feel extra healthy for walking to get my healthy, local goodies 😉
