Watermelon Cooler

As many of you saw on Instagram, I was recently lounging my days away at the beach. Granted, I’ve been home for some time now, that doesn’t mean I have abandoned all thoughts of beach life (really, who isn’t dreaming of being at the beach?).
Today I’m talking about a little drink that I whipped up for the beach! Watermelons are not only a fabulous sweet treat, they are chalked full of vitamins, can help keep you hydrated, AND are a natural defender against the suns harmful rays! Who doesn’t want to sip a delicious drink and be protecting their skin at the same time? DOUBLE WIN!
Have I mentioned yet just how simple this little drink is to make? 4 ingredients and three steps… Does it get any easier than that? I don’t think so!
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen diced watermelon
1/2 cup ice
3 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup vodka
1/2 lime (juiced)
 Instructions:
1. Dice watermelon & freeze for three hours
2. Add watermelon, ice, vodka, lime and sugar to blender. Blend until smooth. Add more vodka or water to thin the mixture.
3. Pour & Enjoy!
This drink could just as easily be made for the little ones, but omitting the vodka of course, and substituting it with water!

What drinks have you been sipping on lately?
