Every year, spring break seriously creeps up on me. I never know if we should take a trip, or just play a little staycation here in Dallas. This year, we are opting for the latter. There is SO much to do in Dallas, and we could totally stay here forever and still not do everything Dallas has to offer. Heres a few of our favorite things we will be doing for Spring Break in Dallas this year!
Visit Trinity Groves and enjoy a meal or three. Trinity Groves is one of the newer additions to The Big D, and it is HOT! There are quite a few fabulous restaurants and some delicious dessert spots. Take the scenic, Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge over the Trinity river and you’ll find yourself right in the thick of Trinity Groves.
Visit the new and improved Dallas Farmers Market. What says spring break in Dallas better than a trip to the gorgeous farmers market on a sunny day? You’ll find everything from delicious fresh veggies to delicious desserts. Everything you find at the Dallas Farmers Market is grown in or near Dallas, which was not the case a few years ago. If this isn’t a stop on your Dallas Spring Break, you need to add it!
Serious Pizza. Is there anything better than pizza? Y’all, the answer is always no. I enlisted the help of my trusty BFF for this one. She knows her pizza, and she thinks anyone who’s visiting Dallas, for any amount of time, needs to hit up Serious Pizza. So, thanks Becca for this one! I mean, who can say no to a GIANT pizza? Not me!
Tulip Fields! Just a short drive north of Dallas is Texas Tulips. A little taste of Holland right here in DFW. Bring your cameras, because this spot is gorgeous y’all. AND You can pick Tulips for $2.50/stem. This is sure to create some awesome memories!
The Dallas Arboretum. While this is similar to the Tulip Fields, The Arboretum hosts hundreds of thousands of flowers in their Dallas Blooms every year. It’s nestled right along White Rock Lake, and boasts some of the most gorgeous scenery in The Big D. I can’t even begin to brag on how fantastic the new Children’s Garden is, I don’t care how old you are, that space is incredible. Bring a picnic or grab lunch at one of the cafes there. Spending a Spring Break day in Dallas here should be on everyone’s list!
Top Golf Dallas. I know, I know, there are Top Golf locations all over the world, but Top Golf Dallas has so much more to offer than just golf. Give it a go!
Galaxy Drive-In. Now, this is about a 45 minute drive South of Dallas, but this is one of the only drive-in theaters around. Bring some blankets and enjoy a movie under the stars y’all!
Catch a movie at Look Cinemas. In the off chance that the weather isn’t absolutely delightful, or you don’t want to make the drive down to the drive-in, you can always catch a quick flick indoors at Look Cinemas. Dallas is crawling with movie theaters, but there is only ONE Look Cinemas. They were one of the first theaters in Dallas to host all leather recliners and couches. Have I mentioned they have theaters that are 21 and up only? Yes, that means no teenagers ruining your movie. You can also sit in their Look & Dine and enjoy full dinner (and drink) service from the delicious Ivy Kitchen. This theatre makes all others who “claim” to be luxury just look silly. Perfect spot for a rainy Spring Break in Dallas day.
Klyde Warren Park. Spring break in Dallas is NOT complete without a trip to KWP. How cool is a park right in the middle of the city? There are tons of food trucks with everything from Gyros to Sushi. Bring a blanket and have a picnic, or sit at one of their adorable tables, and DON’T forget dessert!
This is really just the tip of the iceberg. There is SO much to do for Spring Break in Dallas as well as any time of the year! Spring break definitely isn’t just something for students, anyone can take a little break in the spring and make some awesome memories!

I love Dallas, I go almost every spring break!! A few years ago I was shopping at Northpark in shorts and a tank, and the next day we were playing in the snow!

Hahah, I totally remember that ! I think it was 2010, it was easily some of the craziest weather ever! You'll have to let me know if you need any restaurant recs if you head down here for SB this year, there's so many new restaurants that have popped up recently!

I've only been to Dallas for a work trip a few years ago, so I definitely want to go back and explore it properly!
My dad LOVES Texas. If my mom told him we could pack up and move tomorrow, he would do it in a heartbeat with no hesitation. He's been there a couple of times. I'll have to show him this guide so when he goes to Dallas next he can try some new spots!
