I really could not have asked for a better weekend. If you read last weeks post or follow me on Twitter, you know I was in a pretty bad car accident last week, and unfortunately, over the weekend, I was notified that it was a total loss. BUT, I was not ready to focus on that this weekend.
The weather in Dallas was absolutely phenomenal this weekend, we were in the high 60’s and 70’s this weekend. Thomas and I started our Friday off with lunch on the patio at our favorite spot, Neighborhood Services! We have an undying love for this place, and their wedge will always be my favorite!
Friday afternoon, I took the cutes I nanny to BerryNaked, which is an all natural Popsicle joint with tons of delicious, mostly healthy options! The girls loved the idea of “healthy” Popsicles and they really enjoyed the display cases filled with a colorful assortment of delicious pops! We will certainly be back.
Friday night, we headed to one of our favorite new spots in Addison for dinner. I can not wait to share more about that fabulous spot!
Saturday was spent lounging around, well at least for me. Thomas has been so phenomenal with picking up my chore duties while fully recover from my accident, so he got lots of cleaning done!
Sunday morning we headed to breakfast with Thomas family! We opted for one of our favorite spots, Crossroads Diner! I’ve talked about them before, but seriously, their sticky buns are heaven! They recently moved to a new location, just down the street from our new house, and we could not be happier with the proximity. As always, the sticky buns did not disappoint!
If you read last Thursday’s post about how I struggle when plans are changed, you know I really like sticking to my plans. Well, my plan since November was to buy a new Macbook. With four months of planning behind me, a few gift cards from Christmas and my birthday in my purse, we headed to the Apple Store.
I thought I knew what I wanted walking in, but I ended up leaving with a little nicer model than I planned. So maybe I don’t hate change when it’s a good change, but really, who does? If you follow me on SnapChat, you know I had a very old MacBook that was finally starting to slow down. After transferring all of my old photos to an online source and putting all of my files on The Cloud, I was finally read to move on. I’m so thankful to have received that one in high school from my mom. It got me through a LOT of school work, and helped me start this little space I now call my own! I am so excited to put my new MacBook to good use!
Now that the weekend has come and gone, it’s back to the grind of school, work, and finding a new car. Happy Monday y’all!
