No, I’m not being sponsored by Nike, but the term “Just do it” fits ever so appropriately with the topic I’m talking bout today.
A couple of years ago, I had someone tell me I had no business doing so much at such a young age, and that I should focus… But that person failed to mention what it was that I was supposed to be “focusing” on. Since I graduated high school, I’ve been focused on college, since I started working (at the age of 16) I’ve been focused on a job, since I met Thomas, I’ve been focused on a relationship, you catch my drift? I am focused on just about everything I’m doing, which is why I am focused on living life to the fullest.

As a young 20-something, it’s obvious that the stereotype for me is to be a poor college kid, and to most people, that’s all I am. When, in reality, I am not poor, and I am not a kid. And I think that’s where the disconnect starts.
As a 22 year old, I am going to do everything I can to live life in the best way possible. For me, that means traveling, attending concerts, enjoying my blog and doing everything I can, while I can. I’ll be the first to admit it, that sounds a little weird, but it has certainly become one of my favorite motto’s.
When this person told me I was doing too much, I was really thrown off. I didn’t understand why anyone would want me to stop doing what I was doing, which was just living life.
Now-a-days, nothing is promised, and knowing that, I want to do as much as I can for as long as I can. I think everyone deserves to have a love for travel, a passion for live entertainment, an eye for design, and a desire for whatever it is that makes them happy.
I am doing the most in my 20’s because I don’t want to live with regrets, I don’t want to look back in 10 years and think “Damn, we should have taken that trip down to the river,” or “We should have just spent the extra $50 to be upgraded at that concert,” or anything along those lines.
I want to be able to look back and see that I have done more than I could have ever imagined. I want to experience everything possible while I can. In a few years, I hope to start a family. I won’t be able to just pick up and go when there are little ones in the picture, so why not now? Why not jump in head first and fulfill all of my desires?
I’m terrified that one day, something could happen and I wouldn’t be able to enjoy many of my favorite things any longer. That’s what keeps me going. The fear of missing out on something has me striving to fulfill all of my passions to the fullest.
No one should ever be made to feel as if they are not or should not be doing something they love. Your 20’s aren’t known as The best times of your life for nothing. Go out and do every single thing you can, while you can, because, one day, it isn’t going to be like this anymore.

I really love this. I am passionate about so many things and hearing either the words "you need to spend more time on _____" or "I just don't think you are spending your time wisely in this area" breaks my heart. I am really passionate about photography and blogging. While yes, it is tedious work. I am willing to 'just do it' and pursue that area.

It is so true…My fiancé and I are trying to live life to the fullest and travel and everything now because someday we will have kids and it will be more difficult to do those things.

I love this! This is how I think about travel and road trips. For example, on my trip out west, we woke up one morning and had the choice of going straight to Colorado or stopping to see Utah on the way from Yellowstone in Wyoming.. We chose to visit Utah, but that was after we ended up staying in Idaho for the night since, well, why not?! Idaho actually ties for my favorite state!! We took the risk and made the plunge to visit as much as we could since who knows when we would get the chance to travel like that again? Life gets busy, jobs get in the way, and its not so easy to just get up and go anymore, so I definitely agree with everything you said in your post.

What a great post! I think that people intend to help you when they give you advice, but at the same time it's just their perspective on the situation from the outside. You know what's true for your life and are entitled to chase after your happiness- no matter what age you are! You go girl!
This post really resonated with me! I feel like I'm very similar in the sense that when I do something, I become focused on becoming successful and fully invested in whatever that is. It leads to me doing a lot, but I wouldn't view it as "too much" or "too much for my age". I'm just living and living to the fullest! You put this in the best words…it was like you took what I had in my head and brought it to life! 🙂 I also really enjoyed the pictures/links you included to some of the times that you really lived to the fullest…so cool to see!

Nailed it! You definitely don't want to have regrets. Knowing that you want to start a family and won't have the freedoms you once did is key to understanding you need to do it now. Live every single moment as if it were your last.
This post is great inspiration for bloggers. A lot of people don't understand I think why I spend so much time on my blog… but now after a few years it's finally starting to pay off for me (literally!). 😉 Loved your thoughts!

Exactly! I see no reason why anyone should limit themselves on the things they are invested in. I don't think anyone can EVER "do to much" regardless of their age!

I totally understand you. I put so much energy into my blog and channel that some people just don't understand why I take it so seriously. They think I should focus on other things but my blog is my passion
I absolutely love this! I really need to get better at just doing it. I seem to have a few goals in sight, like putting my husband through grad school so that he can get his CPA, or buying a house, but we push aside things that we want to do like traveling, and making other memories. Need to fix this!
