I am so excited to announce the re-branding of my little space. With a little face lift, Not Your Average Southern Belle is now Savvy Southern Belle! I hope you all enjoy the updates and will continue to follow along!
At the start of 2015, I made a 15 in 2015 list! If I’m being completely honest, I only managed to accomplish 10 out of the 15 things I wanted to do in 2015. That’s still 2/3 of the list, which leaves me feeling pretty accomplished.
My 2016 list definitely has some big items on it!
16. Move closer to work! This was on my 2015 list, but it obviously did not happen. We got caught up in school when our initial lease was up and chose to stay an additional 6 months. We’re currently packing up our apartment and praying like heck that we find a place soon!
15. Living more frugally. While I don’t usually spend my money on stupid stuff and I almost never buy bigger ticket items unless they’re on sale, I occasionally will buy smaller things that we totally don’t need. Time to cut that mess out!
14. With that said, I want to cut my credit card debt in half. I’ve paid for school almost entirely on my own up until last semester, which took a toll on my credit cards! If I could cut the amount owed on each of them, that would be AWESOME!
13. Continue to blog consistently. There were many times this year that I would take a week or two off because I got overwhelmed withs school or work, which is totally normal. But in 2016, I plan to have a “reserve” of posts that can be shared during the weeks I’m overwhelmed with life so I’m never just absent.
12. Becoming an even better cook. I have a few go-to recipes that I perfected in 2015, but I want to find newer and better recipes in 2016!
11. New Macbook! My current Macbook was a gift from my mom in 2010, and it has seriously exceeded all of my expectations. I’ve already started saving a bit as well as getting gift cards from the fam to put towards it! Hopefully I’ll have a shiny new MacBook Pro by April!
10. Helping my sister prep for starting high school. We’re 8 years apart, and boy has a LOT changed in the 8 years since I started high school. But I am SO excited for her to start and can’t wait to see what she does in high school.
9. My birthday! Is it just me or do birthdays get less and less exciting as you get older? Oh well. January 11th is almost here!

8. More #TiffAndThomasTravel ! I love traveling, I really do. I hope to go on at least two small trips this year, as well as one big trip!
7. Connecting with more bloggers! I want to continue to do more with my blog. More giveaways, link-ups and collaborations in general!
6. Re-branding my blog! This has been a long time coming and I am SO excited to share all of this with you TODAY!
5. Training for and running in my first half marathon! Hello lots and lots of miles!
4. Multi-tasking LESS! WHAT? Yes, you read correctly. In one of the latest webinars from Helene from Helene in Between, she brought up why it is so important to stop multitasking, and I couldn’t agree more! So far, it’s done me very well!
3. Getting my migraines under control. 2015 was a pivotal year for my migraines and they’re only getting better!
2. Almost finishing school. By the end of 2016, I should only have one semester left! College has taken longer than most would expect, but I’m finally in the home stretch!
1. Doing as much as I can. I don’t want to look back this time next year and think “wow, I could have done so much more.”
