For all my Dallas friends, please don’t laugh at my very delayed visit to one of the most well known Mexican restaurants in Dallas. Mr. Mesero, the brainchild of Mico, who was part of the original few who started Mi Cocina, is nestled in one of my favorite areas of Dallas. Thomas and I have had our eye on this spot for weeks, but this was actually more of an impromptu visit with the family I nanny for to celebrate one of my favorite little ones rocking her dance recital.
Thomas and I both went with the Micorita- which was definitely the right choice, they were delicious!
We shared guacamole and queso-blanco for the table. I seriously could have eaten an entire bowl of this stuff… Kidding…. Sort of.
Normally, I’d never be able to finish two enchiladas, rice and beans on my own, but considering It was almost 2 pm, and I had eaten breakfast at 8am, I figured it was acceptable. I ordered two tomatillo chicken enchiladas with black beans. All were great, but very typical.
Thomas had a Red Cheese Enchilada and Carnita taco. Between chatting with everyone we were with and munching on our own plates, we forgot to try each others dishes, but his certainly looked delightful.
Overall, everything was great, and I’m so glad we were invited to lunch here. If we are in the area, we will certainly be back!
Their newest Addison location is set to open in January of 2016, with additional locations of the new Shops of Legacy West shortly after that!
