10 in 10 {Dish-Preston Hollow}

Our second stop on our 10 in 10 journey is the newest location of DISH, in Preston Hollow. We opted for an early Sunday Dinner, knowing storms were coming in. We were the first dinner reservation and the first customers to dine for dinner. Needless to say, it was a little quiet for the first half of our meal.
To start our meal off we went for the Lamb Lollipops… Well I’d never had ground lamb, and I don’t think I ever will again, but these were pretty good, minus thinking about the little sheep going “baaaa.” Kidding, but not really. They had hummus and oil spread around them, when was absolutely delicious! They were good, but I wouldn’t order them again due to my dislike of lamb.
Thomas ordered their Lavender and Lace cocktail, which he loved. I went with a glass of Cab.
For my main dish, I ordered the Salmon. Mostly because I find it hard to really mess up a nice cut of salmon. This was seriously one of the top 2 I have ever had. It was placed upon a delicate helping of whipped sweet potatoes and topped with an avocado-tomato salad and crispy brussels sprout leaves, all surrounded by a lemon caper pur blanc sauce- it was wonderful!
True to Thomas form, he ordered the steak frites. They were so tender and stayed piping hot almost the entire meal. The fries were reminiscent of the ones from our favorite restaurant, NHS, but just a tad different, they were awesome in their own way.
To finish our meal off, we went with their Cinnamon Bread Pudding. Holy mother of bread pudding, the sweet, cinnamon flavors of this gooey dessert sent us in to an intense sugary coma. I’m so turned off by hard/crusty bread pudding, and thankfully this one was 100% gooey, with so much flavor! The only downside is that you need about 4 people to finish it! It’s THAT big! But it is definitely a must try!
Overall, Dish was delicious. We will definitely be coming back in the future!
